Deed-for-Lease Servicing Guidelines,Deed-for-Lease Program (D4L), allowing qualified borrowers (or tenants) with properties transferred through deed-in-lieu of foreclosure (DIL) to remain in their home by executing a lease in conjunction with a DIL.With the D4L program, servicers should follow their regular process – in accordance with Fannie Mae's workout hierarchy – in considering a borrower for a DIL.

If a borrower is eligible for a DIL (as determined by the servicer), the servicer should notify Fannie Mae if the borrower may also be eligible for the D4L program based on an initial screen of predetermined eligibility criteria.Transfer of property Deed 4 Lease.D4L Deed 4 Lease DIL
- Fannie Mae, or its designee, will take the steps necessary to further verify the property and borrower eligibility, determine the rental rate, and, if appropriate, execute the lease agreement.

"Chippewa" Valley bank was the only bidder during a five-minute sheriff's sale on the steps of the county courthouse today. But Chippewa Valley Bank, which bought the site for the minimum bid during a five-minute sheriff's sale Thursday in Hayward, doesn't want to own it for long. So what the lender describes as a "very private and pristine" property with some notorious gangster history is still on the block.
Other parties are certainly interested, the bank's Vice President Joe Kinnear said – but for something less than $2.6 million.
He said at least four people want to buy the property, perhaps to restore it to what it once was – a restaurant, museum and tourist area.

Chicago gangster, Al Capone, used this place in Couderay, Wisconsin as a hideout. The construction of the estate started in 1925. It is about 140 miles northeast of Minneapolis. The main lodge is where Capone lived, and it has walls that are eighteen inches thick. Inside has hand-cut stone fireplace and custom-made spiral staircases were created in Chicago. It also has a stone gun tower (pictured), where machine gun-armed guards watched out for the authorities. There is also a caretaker’s cottage and a bunkhouse. A barn on the estate is supposed to have housed chickens, so the gangster could have fresh eggs. There is even a jail house on the grounds a very small single cell surrounded by a brick wall. It was later turned into a restaurant and tourist attraction.
